CIMB Clicks is one of the top 5 most downloaded banking app in the app store in Malaysia and I have been a loyal user for a good few years. Despite the fact that I love the usefulness and convenience of the app, I find the app quite lacking, be it the expeience or the appeal. My goal for the redesign is to create a better use of the app that is also easy on the eyes.
To understand and be able to come up with a solution, I've conducted some research on different bank apps to get an idea why and how these applications were more popular and well received.
To ensure a smooth sailing on the app for the users, mindmaps were layed out so that the app flows beautifully and logically.
The work on wireframes was clean, plain and simple. It was to present the app's basic layout, the flow between screens and its functions.
Finally adding the life to the app. The makeup for the app if you will. Being all dull and ugly in the wireframes, high fidelity is where the end touches like adding color to the face comes in.
After analyzing the thought process of a user, the optimal app architecture was lay out.
Wireframe productions were where I spent most of time creating as it is to help design an easy-to-use and good user experience product.
Typeface Noto Sans, available on Google Fonts, was my choice of 'font-family'. Simple and elegant, perfectly suited for the app.

A simple dashboard for users to find all they need. This includes their available bank cards, quick links for day to day task and maybe some set favorites for convenience. Banners of personal offers and some latest transaction made are also included in the main page.
Once user clicked into their selected card, a more detailed page will show up on screen for the account. All up to date transactions will show. Insights of for the account can be previewed as well.
The chart of income and expense helps users to monitor personal financial spendings in the context of different catgories of goods and services and timeline.
With a single click, users can easily transfer to or receive funds from others.
